Issues
Clean air and water are fundamental to the health of all our families, and we have a responsibility to protect our lands, natural resources, and climate for current and future generations. I am proud to address these challenges through my work as the Co-Chair of the New Democrat Coalition's Climate Change Task Force and as a Member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
For far too long, Congress failed to prioritize rebuilding our roads and bridges, repairing airports, expanding public transit, connecting rural communities through broadband, and modernizing our drinking water and wastewater systems. The most recent report by the American Society of Civil Engineers gave Pennsylvania an overall C- grade for its infrastructure – with even worse grades in some of our most essential areas, like roads, bridges, and water systems. Crumbling infrastructure is limiting our economy, costing families time and money, and poses a serious safety risk.
