While the U.S. Coast Guard does not require a Congressional Nomination as a prerequisite for attendance, Herb underwent a competitive application process to receive a nomination from Wild’s office and has joined the academy’s Class of 2024.

This week, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07), alongside Reps. John Curtis (R-UT), David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV), and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), sent a bipartisan letter to Vice President Mike Pence raising a series of questions about the federal government’s plans to distribute a forthcoming COVID-19 vaccination. Specifically, the bipartisan coalition urged the Administration to proactively study the most efficient way to distribute a vaccination once developed, which would save lives and help life return to normal.
