April 22, 2019

EASTON, Pa. - As federal officials come up with a game plan for fentanyl, officials in the Lehigh Valley are developing plans to combat opioids.

The Easton Opioid Task Force met Monday night. The group places an emphasis on education and promoting community resources.

69 News spoke with a woman who was at the meeting to advocate on behalf of a family member battling addiction.

"This is the first time I've been here, and I didn't realize all the support that is out there and available," Karyn Kostolanci said.

Lehigh Valley Congresswoman Susan Wild attended the meeting. She gathered input about what people would like to see done at the federal level.
