Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) joined the Black Maternal Health Caucus, launched by U.S. Representatives Alma Adams (NC -12) and Lauren Underwood (IL-14), to improve black maternal health outcomes. The United States has the worst maternal death rates in the developed world, at 18 death per 100,00 live births. The maternal mortality rate is alarmingly higher among black women, at 40 deaths per 100,000 live births.

Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) introduced legislation that would reinstate and make permanent tax deductions designed to directly benefit many middle-class and union workers. These miscellaneous itemized deductions were suspended for taxable years 2018 through 2025 in last year’s Republican tax overhaul.

Follows a roundtable Wild hosted with labor leaders in PA-07 who voiced concern about injuries in the workplace
Today, U.S. Representatives Susan Wild (PA-07) and Andy Levin (MI-09), members of the House Committee on Education and Labor, led 32 members of Congress in urging Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta to reverse the Department of Labor’s (DOL) decision to roll back a rule that protected American workers by requiring employers to be transparent about workplace injuries. The rule, Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses, required companies with 250 employees to regularly submit comprehensive reports on workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
