Rep. Wild Announces 2020 U.S. Military Academy Appointees from PA-07
GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY – Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) proudly announced that two students from Pennsylvania’s Seventh District have accepted appointments to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point beginning this Summer. Nominated by Wild last year, both students underwent a competitive application process and have joined the academy’s Class of 2024.
“It is a great privilege to nominate some of our community’s best and brightest young people to our nation’s oldest military service academy,” Wild said. “Their interest in serving our country and answering the call of duty is admirable, and their demonstrated leadership at such a young age is nothing short of impressive. What both of these young men have already been able to achieve is inspiring – and it is truly my honor to watch them begin the next phase of their journey at West Point this Fall.”
With roots dating back to the Revolutionary War, the United States Military Academy at West Point is our nation’s oldest service academy. Its mission is "to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army."
Wild’s Class of 2024 U.S. Military Academy appointees from Pennsylvania’s Seventh District include:
