Rep. Wild Statement on Local Funding for District from American Rescue Plan

May 10, 2021
Press Release

Today, Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) released the following statement announcing additional funding for counties and local governments in her district as part of the American Rescue Plan.

“I am proud to have fought for and secured this critical funding for communities across my district as part of the American Rescue Plan and I am glad to see the Treasury Department acting swiftly to get that funding into the towns and municipalities that need it most. This relief will help eliminate budget shortfalls created by the economic crisis of the last year, protect the jobs of frontline workers, firefighters, and teachers, and support the vital services local governments make available. Our continued recovery from the pandemic and resulting economic crisis depends on targeted relief for working families and small businesses, so I’m glad we were able to get this done for communities across the Lehigh Valley.”
