Vote Advances $20M in Funding For PA-07 Infrastructure Projects
Washington – Today, Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) applauded the bipartisan passage of theINVEST in America Act with the following statement:
"I was proud to vote for theINVEST Act– a once-in-a-generation bill that will address our nation's crumbling infrastructure and provide critical funding for local infrastructure projects across America," said Wild. "The Greater Lehigh Valley is long overdue for an infrastructure upgrade, which is why I was thrilled to secure $20 million for projects in our community. This legislation will create millions of good-paying jobs, improving our bridges, roads, drinking water, and more. It's beyond time for bold, historic investments that will make America competitive with the demands of the 21st Century – theINVEST Act will help us do just that."
The INVEST Act will create good-paying union jobs by investing in America's highways, roads, bridges, transit, and wastewater infrastructure. Rep. Wild was able to secure $20 million in funding for four key projects in Pennsylvania's 7th District as part of the larger infrastructure bill. The INVEST Act puts some of the key pieces of President Biden's infrastructure vision into legislative text.
