Allentown, PARepresentative Susan Wild (PA-07) crisscrossed Northampton, Lehigh, and Monroe Counties this week, meeting with constituents and talking about jobs, COVID relief, and constituent issues. She also welcomed Labor Secretary Marty Wash to the Greater Lehigh Valley to tour Pennsylvania businesses and discuss the future of the American Jobs Plan. See more below:

Wild hosted an in-person town hall in Wind Gap, where she met with constituents and discussed everything from warehouses and housing availability, to the rise in anti-semitism and bringing the country together after the January 6 attacks. On Wednesday, Rep. Wild hosted Labor Secretary Marty Walsh for a tour of Lehigh Heavy Forge, a visit to the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, and lunch at Café the Lodge. Later, Rep. Wild and Secretary Walsh joined Senator Bob Casey for a rally with union leaders about the need to support homecare workers in the upcoming jobs package.

Wild shared her experience caring for her mother following her diagnoses with an inoperable brain cancer in 2014.”

On Thursday, Rep. Wild toured the Pocono YMCA in Stroudsburg and met with local mayors about the local municipal funding heading to boroughs across PA-07 as part of the American Rescue Plan. She also released a new report from her office about the Child Tax Credit and the expansive good it will do for families in her district.

Susan Wild (D-7) made a stop at the Pocono YMCA Thursday morning to urge families in Pennsylvania’s Seventh District to take advantage of the new child tax credit created in the American Rescue Plan. While it’s called a tax credit, Wild stressed that the benefits — $3,000 per child and $3,600 for children under age 6 — are not limited to families that pay taxes.”
