David Trone (MD-06) to introduce the Higher Education Mental Health Act of 2019, a bill that seeks to address the growing number of students in higher education with mental health concerns. Wild, along with Reps. John Joyce (R-PA), Donna Shalala (D-FL), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) are original cosponsors of the bill, which is backed by Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) in the United States Senate.

U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) introduced a bill with Reps. Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06), Madeleine Dean (PA-04), and Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05) to require the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide legal assistance to women veterans to help address some of their unique, unmet needs. The bill would require the VA to establish a partnership with an experienced organization that would help women veterans access services such as child care and dental care and assist with legal issues such as child support and eviction and foreclosure.

The For the People Act is transformative legislation that strengthens American democracy and empowers citizens by making it easier to vote, reducing the influence of big money bill was passed by the House and sent to the Senate in March.
