Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild joined a bipartisan majority in voting to adopt, and add seven days of paid sick leave to, the Tentative Agreement between railroads and railroad workers. It is shameful that despite billions in operating revenue and significant increases in profit, the railroad industry has refused to grant paid sick leave—which must be a fundamental right for all workers. In doing so, the railroad industry has brought our nation to the brink of what would be a devastating strike.

Allentown, PA – Today, Reps. Susan Wild (PA-07)and Cindy Axne (IA-03) wrote to House leadership pushing for action to weaken the power of the Russian and Saudi Arabian-led group OPEC+, made up of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and 10 non-OPEC oil producing countries, which have resulted in higher gas prices for Americans and strengthened Russia's position in its war with Ukraine.

"Since 2019, I've made it my mission to close the "family glitch," an ACA loophole forcing working families to pay higher heath care premiums. I sponsored legislation and led a letter to President Biden urging that he take swift action to eliminate this regulatory defect preventing nearly one million Americans from accessing affordable health care.

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild applauded the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for lowering the cost of 2023 premiums and deductibles for the Medicare Part B program, following her call to do so in a January letter sent with congressional colleagues. This will be the first lowered premium for Medicare Part B beneficiaries in a decade.

Susan Wild will announce her Community Project Funding (CPF) for Suburban EMS Training Institute, which offers training to become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in an accelerated eight-week program. This project was one of 15 CPFs put forward by Rep. Wild and will address the critical need for certified medical providers in the 19 municipalities served by Suburban EMS.
