Bipartisan Legislation Allows Fire Fighters and EMS Personnel to Create Labor Unions, Collectively Bargain

WASHINGTON—Today, Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) co-sponsored bipartisan legislation to guarantee that all state and city fire fighters and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel can exercise their labor rights. Rep. Susan Wild Says Many Pennsylvanians Who Receive Veterans’ Benefits and Have Not Yet Received Their Economic Impact Payment Could Expect Electronic Payments to Hit Bank Accounts Beginning This Week

Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) announced today that many Pennsylvanians who receive Veterans’ benefits could expect Economic Impact Payments of up to $1,400 hit their bank accounts beginning this week. Many Pennsylvanians have already received Economic Impact Payments as part of the American Rescue Plan that Rep. Wild helped pass.

Would Explicitly Allow Food and Drink to be Provided to Voters While They Wait in Line to Vote
Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (PA-07) and U.S. Representative Nikema Williams (GA-05) introduced the Stay in Line to Vote Act, legislation that would explicitly allow food and drink to be provided to voters while they wait in line at polling places. Last month, legislators in Georgia passed a restrictive voting law that placed new obstacles between voters and their right to vote, including a provision that makes it a crime to provide food or drink - even water - to people waiting in line to vote. The Stay in Line to Vote Act would provide a basic level of support to voters as they wait to cast their ballot, especially in areas where long lines can deter voting.
