Yesterday morning, Congresswoman Susan Wild joined Easton Mayor Sal Panto and City of Easton officials to celebrate the second anniversary of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) passage, the transformational investments ARPA brought to Easton, and the strong federal-municipal partnership that made it possible.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congresswoman Susan Wild (D-PA) and Congressman Dan Meuser (R-PA) reintroduced the bipartisan Fairness for Rural Teaching Hospitals Act, legislation to update calculations used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure that rural teaching hospitals receive a higher and fairer reimbursement.

These hospitals include St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Rep. Meuser's district and St. Luke's Easton Campus in Rep. Wild's district, as well as 12 other rural hospitals across the country. Rep. Wild and Rep. Meuser were joined by Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI) in introducing this bill.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, U.S. Representative Susan Wild (D-PA) joined with Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) to introduce the bipartisan, bicameral Jenna Quinn Law, critical legislation to allow current grant funds to be used to train and educate students, teachers, caregivers, and other adults who work with children on how to prevent, recognize, and report child sexual abuse. The bill, named for child abuse survivor Jenna Quinn, is a companion to legislation introduced in the Senate by U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX).

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Congresswoman Susan Wild (PA-07), joined by Congressman Joseph Morelle (NY-25), led a group of 30 representatives in calling for full funding of the Economic Development Agency's (EDA) Regional Technology and Innovation Hub (RTIH) Program in Fiscal Year 2024.

Established by Rep. Wild's Regional Innovation Act passed into law as a part of the CHIPS and Science Act, the RTIH program will create 20 geographically distributed hubs to spur technology development, job creation, and innovation capacity.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Susan Wild reaffirmed her commitment to lowering insulin prices for Americans and taking on the pharmaceutical industry to make it happen– one of her top legislative priorities since her first day in Congress.

Following announcements of insulin price cuts from Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi, Rep. Wild took to the House floor to slam the decades-long greed and price-gouging by insulin manufacturers and call out recent price cuts as hollow, decades-too-late PR attempts to stave off further Congressional action regulating insulin costs.
