BETHLEHEM, P.A. – On Monday, Congresswoman Susan Wild joined local microchip manufacturers and Ben Franklin Technology Partners for a roundtable on the first announcement of CHIPS and Science Act funding to discuss what investments in PA-07 manufacturers could mean for our economy and what we can do to grow our innovation sector.

In attendance were representatives from semiconductor manufacturers including Ideal Semiconductor, Infinera Corporation, and Broadcom, in addition to representatives from Lehigh University, Alvernia University, and Upper Macungie Township, and leadership from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

SUMMIT HILL, P.A. – On Tuesday, Congresswoman Susan Wild held her first in-person town hall of 2023 in Summit Hill, Carbon County. Beginning with Girl Scouts presenting the colors and leading the Pledge of Allegiance, Rep. Wild gave a quick update on her work so far this year before delving into questions from town hall attendees.

Rep. Wild listened to concerns and took questions from constituents, on topics ranging from the state of health care in Pennsylvania and concerns about Medicare and Social Security benefits; to issues with local sewer authorities and the process of applying for federal grants; to concerns with land use and an active mine fire in the area.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives Susan Wild (D-PA-7) and Joe Wilson (R-SC-2) and U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) introduced the Mental Health in International Development and Humanitarian Settings (MINDS) Act to improve global mental health outcomes. The legislation would codify the role of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Coordinator for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and establish a MHPSS working group to promote best practices in U.S. foreign assistance programming.

From Pennsylvania, to Ohio, and all across the country, as more workers are exercising their right to strike, employers often cancel or threaten to cancel health insurance for striking or locked out workers.

"From closing the gap in veteran emergency care insurance coverage, to streamlining the process through which veterans receive their benefits claims files, these bills will do just that.
